This is the first year we have worked with Fernando Belone of Fazenda Santa Cruz. A member of the Expocaccer coop and contributor to the Treasures collection, Fernando's coffees stood out.
This lot has a really full, creamy mouthfeel and a long and pleasing finish - it is a testament to the clean and precise natural processing of this lot.
Also, we really love the sustainable practices on show at Fazenda Santa Cruz. Over the past 3 years, Belone has been concentrating on increasing soil health, stimulating biodiversity and controlling greenhouse gas emissions and sequestration of CO2 through production. In December 2021, his work was recognised by Control Union with the farm gaining certification for its regenerative agricultural practices.
The carbon footprint from this coffee's journey has been offset twice.
