This is the second time we've managed to get a hold of some natural coffee from the Adola washing station. When we got to cup the sample from the importers it was so delicious we couldn't resist getting this year's fresh lot in!
Produced by renowned grower Israel Degfa in the Guji region of Ethiopia, this exceptional coffee is the product of years of developing fair and sustainable farming practices.
The Adola dry mill has 360 raised beds and 385 staff members during harvest season. The scale of the project coupled with the ease of access has enabled Israel to process coffees from 1,470 smallholders this year, adding value by processing as washed, natural and extended fermentation lots.
Israel has implemented incentives across the region to track coffee production, allowing farmers to be financially rewarded for improving their crop year on year. This program also allows them to access better schools and healthcare facilities as the profits from increased production are invested back into the region.
The carbon footprint from this coffee's journey has been offset twice.
This includes boiling your kettle to brew it.
The packaging is biodegradable and recyclable.
Delivery is free.
One love.
